After this date, you may be able to book a place on the free transfer if there is still availability but it cannot be guaranteed. As you are arriving outside of the main arrivals weekend, we would strongly recommend you book a private taxi transfer so there is someone to meet you on arrival to take you directly to your accommodation.

Airport transfer

You can now book an airport transfer to your accommodation, or let us know that you will organise your own transport.


FREE AIRPORT TRANSFER - the College can arrange a free transfer from Manchester airport to your accommodation but only on specific dates. This option will only be offered to you below if it is available for your start date. A free transfer must be booked no later than 72 hours before Arrivals Weekend.

Flights arriving after 1.30pm on either day will not be eligible for the free transfer but we can arrange a paid taxi transfer.


Note that transfer times are subject to change to meet demand or can be cancelled due to insufficient demand.


PRIVATE TRANSFER - if you select a private transfer, we book a 'meet and greet' with a private company who will guide you to a taxi that will take you to your accommodation. This should be booked at least 24 hours prior to your arrival in the UK.


Please note, we do not offer airport transfers from London Heathrow Airport.

Luggage

You are advised not to bring more than two suitcases and one piece of hand luggage. Clothing, cooking utensils and kitchen equipment such as rice cookers and kettles can be bought cheaply at supermarkets in York and there will also be a shop on campus where you can buy inexpensive second-hand kitchen items. The coaches have a limited amount of space for luggage, so if you have more than the suggested number of suitcases we may have to ask you to travel to York by train at your own expense.
